Meet Doug
From a small village in Rock Creek, SD on the Standing Rock Reservation Doug Good Feather came from humble beginnings, addiction, War to become a Counselor with a Non-profit Lakota Way Healing Center focused on helping our Veterans/Civilians with PTSD, Addiction, Suicide prevention and helping our homeless with basic needs. Because of what Doug has overcome in his own life and grown through he has been able to implement this with in his teaching as well as the teachings of the Lakota. Being raised with tradition gave Doug his identity, confidence ambitions this means everything to him. At 3 years old Doug’s grandpa thought him The Punka Nations Fancy War Dance and still dances today.
Doug is a Fluent speaker of the Lakota language, Traditional Healing Consultant, Iraq War Veteran (2 tours), Stage and Screen Actor, International Native American Cultural Ambassador, Grammy Award Winning Lakota Singer, Scholar of Psychology and counseling (“18), Public Speaker, Nation Builder and Life Coach.
For over a decade, Doug has traveled around the world doing workshops, speeches, performing arts, media appearances as a professional speaker. Giving over 1,000 presentations for corporations, associations, government agencies and nonprofit organizations. Doug is an author of the book, “Think Indigenous” and though his Lakota art a clothing designer. His love for life, his culture, family and people are what drives him today as he continues to help the world.
